Resolving and Managing Thoughts

The Bible teaches us not to live by worldly standards but by God’s words, which transform our mind with the truth. So, the Bible should be used as a manual for everything that concerns the children of God, for it is prescribed by God and interpreted by the Holy Spirit. “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will” (Romans 12:2).

Guarding our hearts with all diligence and not conforming to worldly standards gives you a picture of how relevant it is to process and interpret your thoughts in the best way to avoid negative impacts and emotions.

Life is not a bed of roses. There will come moments when we face challenges in life, but when challenges bring you down, you must refuse to stay down. It is the approach used to manage the challenge that would result in either success or failure in life. When faced with a challenge, it is better to focus on how to resolve and manage it rather than blaming others. One thing every person must learn is that you cannot resolve a problem by denying or ignoring it. It is said that a known problem is half solved. To resolve a problem, you must acknowledge and seek a solution rather than dismissing or denying the problem.

Let me pose this question. Have you ever found yourself blaming others for a particular challenge you are experiencing? When you blame others, you do not look at your contribution, but that of others.

People easily overlook their weaknesses and would rather see the wrong in others and transfer the blame to them instead of addressing the problem. Some people quickly dissociate themselves from wrong choices and transfer the blame to others.

There are many situations in life where we blame those around us. Whereas, it is our wrong choices that cause our failure and stress, not those around us.

If you blame those close to you for some mistakes you have made, it is not too late to step back and correct yourself. Changing your beliefs may influence your thoughts and affect you positively or negatively. False evidence in your belief system may blind you from seeing your mistakes, but it can be corrected by focusing on the root cause of the problem rather than blaming others. All you need to do is reframe your evidence by changing what you believe.
